There is a saying "You can't beat Wellington on a good day" and it certainly was a beautiful winter weekend here in the capital city. I went and sat on a log on the Petone foreshore in the sun, watched a flotilla of seagulls play in the water and thought about what art I would like to create over the coming months.
This is my latest artwork called Dance of the Butterflies that I finished only yesterday. You will notice compared to Chaos Paints a Flower that my style has evolved since 2007 and I now include more depth and dimension in my art.

I plan to update the blog every two weeks, on a Friday from now on so that I can concentrate on learning some new techniques. Presently I am teaching myself animation and hope to animate one of my artworks in the near future.
On a light hearted endnote for those who have read the blog post called, My Cat Hates My Art....one very groggy cat had to be extracted from a box of packaging at the base of my desk this past week as he got a little too comfy while sleeping on top of the computer tower case and toppled off!

Nice to meet you Ujwala.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. I love butterflies so this was a lot of fun to create.
Can't wait to see animated fractal art or fractal animated art...
Welcome Signs Christchurch
I have taught myself animation basics so far and it will take awhile for me to have a finished fractal animation that is good enough to show here. It is challenging and slow paced work but I will get there.
Thanks for the encouragement. Watch this space!
